In June 2021, I visited NYC to attend a party in Brooklyn, where I met an Instagram influencer that I’ve been following for years. Being a fan, I went up to him to ask for a photo. While he was nice and agreed to take the photo with me, he said I couldn’t post it on any social media. Then, I saw his friend smirked at me. Through the sly look, it’s as if he said to me, “You are pathetic and out of shape, and you’re lucky to be standing next to us.” I went back to my hotel alone and feeling like 💩 afterwards. The next morning, I formulated a plan:
”In 5 years, I will become the best version of myself,” I said.
I workout 2-3 hours a day. I wake up at 4:30am to get ready for the day. I’m in the gym from 6am to 8am. I split my days into either push & pull day or leg day. On push and pull days, I do push-ups, pull-ups, shoulder presses, dead lifts, bicep curls, and tricep extensions. On leg days, I run through a modified version of the P90X Leg & Back routine. I also add two P90X Ab Ripper X sessions to my workout everyday. Finally, I am also an avid rock climber, and I visit a bouldering gym (i.e. ropeless free climb) every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
I started my fitness journey in July 2021. I lost 40 pounds (18 kilos) by September 2021. I started to see my first set of abs in October 2021😅. As of March 2024, I‘ve lost 12% body fat.
